Slideluck is coming to Houston for the first time!
We invite you to submit your lens-based work to Slideluck Houston, an event hosted by the Houston Center for Photography. The theme for SLIDELUCK Houston is Cruel Summer….yes, we’re referring to that awesome 80’s song by Bananarama. And in honor of that song we will be holding the event smack dab in the middle of the summer, in Texas. Crazy, maybe, but nothing brings people together on a hot summer night more than food, beer, a nice patio, and great conversation centered around photography!
The deadline is extended until Tuesday, June 30th.
– Photography or visual art submissions should consist of 15 to 40 images.
– Multimedia and video pieces should be no longer than 5 minutes in length.

Slideluck is a non-profit organization based in New York City that is dedicated to building and strengthening community through food and art. Since 2000, we have hosted potluck dinners combined with multimedia slideshows of painting, photography, craft and video in over 100 cities worldwide and presented the work of roughly 10,000 artists. At each event, guests bring homecooked dishes to share and the feast is followed by a slideshow of 20 local artists, ranging from emerging to very established. Notable past Slideluckers include Chuck Close, Shepard Fairey, Elliott Erwitt, Spencer Tunick, Edward Burtynsky, Lauren Greenfield, Nadav Kander, Inez & Vinoodh, Bruce Davidson, and Gregory Crewdson.
