Oakland Call for Entries

We’re doing our first show in the East Bay this June as a part of the Megapolis Audio Festival. On Sunday, June 7th, SLIDELUCK Oakland will be celebrating the work of 20 emerging and established artists on the closing night of this three-day festival celebrating all-things audio.  In celebration of the aural realm, this show is a collaboration between the artists and Austrian violinist Mia Zabelka, who will live score the show. The theme for SLIDELUCK Oakland is BorderWe invite artists working in all different media to put forth work that addresses cultural, social, and political notions and consequences of a world criss-crossed by borders –  border as the relationship between edge and centrality, the border as a binary-inducing force, the border as a place where two oppositions converge, etc.

The submission deadline is Friday, May 22nd, 2015

Submission Guidelines
– Photography or visual art submissions should consist of 15 to 40 images.
– Multimedia and video pieces should be no longer than 5 minutes in length.
– For copyright purposes, all audio included in submissions must be open-sourced. In honor of Megapolis, we encourage applicants to produce (or collaborate) their own audio work. Please see our guidelines for further information regarding music and audio.
