Vogue Italia’s 2014 PhotoBooks

Vogue Italia photo department asked photo editors, artists, photographers and photography experts to choose between 3-5 photobooks that defined 2014.

Jonh Stenmayer famously stated: “We have to stop thinking of ourselves as photographers. We’re publishers“. Indeed, the trend of photographers taking upon themselves the task of turning their work into those “self-contained little universes” we call books is more vibrant than ever. The quality and boldness of self-published photobooks is undeniable and has proved to be a more than valid way for photographers to share their projects.

Hungry Still Vogue Italia

HUNGRY STILL, curated by Maria Teresa Salvati, Federica Chiocchetti & Louise Clement –

“HUNGRY STILL is a special photo-cookbook that combines photography and food so deeply that it creates a completely new multi-sensory experience. The most talented photographers that contributed to the Slideluck London platform, since its inception in 2007, have been invited to revisit their photo-stories, reflect and provide us a recipe that is intertwined with their photographic stories.”
