NYC, April 30th: Mie Olise at The Rotary


All of us here at SLIDELUCK are thrilled to congratulate Mie Olise on her first solo show in New York City, entitled “Elapsed Intoxications.”

At our second Slideluck fundraiser, Olise generously donated a print for auction. The sale of that photo has allowed us to continue bringing great events to cities worldwide. If you’re in NYC sometime in the next month, don’t miss her show! All the details are below….

Opening Reception: Tuesday, April 30th, 6-9pm
Special Frieze Reception: Friday, May 10th, 7-10pm (Featuring musical performance by Alisha Roney)

The ROTARY art space above Fanelli’s in Soho will showcase Olise’s present paintings and small installation pieces with influences from Hurricane Sandy as well as her nautical upbringing in Denmark.

Dividing her time between Brooklyn and Copenhagen, She is currently working on a major museum show for the Museo de Arte Acarigua-Araure in Venezuela. Past US shows include Honor Fraser, LA; Barbara Davis, Houston, TX and Y Gallery, NYC. Olise has been recognized in Art Forum, Flash Magazine, Art News, Brooklyn Paper, Huffington Post, Art World, UK; Time Out, UK; Houston Chronicle, LA Weekly a.o.
