InVision delivers picture-perfect party
The 3rd annual Olympus InVision Photo Festival was held at the Banana Factory and SteelStacks in Bethlehem Nov. 2-4. Although Hurricane Sandy deterred many guests, 189 people arrived for one of the main events — the Slideluck party at the ArtsQuest Center Nov. 3.
In attendance were the event’s creator, Janice Lipzin, ArtsQuest Director of Visual Arts and Education, and the new president of Olympus Imaging America, Nacho Abia.
Sponsors included Olympus Imaging America, Dan’s Camera City, Brooklyn Brewery and Slideluck Potshow, a nonprofit based in New York City.
Light munchies were served, and a signature Slideluck cocktail and Brooklyn Brewery tastings proved popular throughout the evening.
Photographer Vicki DaSilva showed projections of her work and a piece commissioned by the festival — “light graffitti,” which covered SteelStacks. Following was a slideshow featuring 20 photographers.
Internationally known photographers presenting their work over the weekend included Joyce Tenneson, Amy Arbus, Jay Dickman, Zoe Strauss and Joe McNally.Posted on
