Evan O’Brien produced his first Slideluck in Los Angeles on April, 27th 2012 at the newly minted FIFTH.– It was a perfect LA night replete with fresh flowers, cool lighting, and all the style and fun the Southern California arts scene is known for. The equally distinctive and delicious potluck was curated by celebrated foodie authors Margaret Floyd & Chef James Barry, who awarded Most Original & Crowd Favorite dishes a copy of their bestselling books “Eat Naked” and “The Naked Foods Cookbook”. The at-capacity potluck crowd was a well balanced spread of both bounty and creativity with E.J. Gallo Winery, Dama Tequila, and One Coconut Water providing libations to accompany signature deserts by Chef Perry Pollaci from The Royce. Guests then ate with their eyes while a slide show curated by Joshua Machet and Casey Kelbaugh exhibited twenty-four featured photographers, mixing the well known with promising shutterbugs. 3D Cheeze amazed everyone with their photo booth, Levelled Magazine’s premiere issue was given in gift bags by Whole Foods Arroyo, and DJ Solecito provided the evenings soundtrack from a courtyard of smiling faces.
