Amsterdam III

On October 13, 2012, Nadine Maas, Wouter Kalis and Corinne De Korver, the core of the Amsterdam team, produced the third edition of Slideluck Amsterdam at the Oude Kerk (the Old Church), the oldest building in Amsterdam situated in the center, right in the red light district. Internationally renowned curator Erik Kessels curated the slide show, which consisted of Dutch and International artists such as Marnix Goossens, Richard Simpkin and Kurt Caviezel. Main sponsors were Fotografenfederatie, Viewbook, and Sandbox Studios. In the intermission a popular raffle was being held. Raffle sponsors included: Viewbook, GUP magazine, Elle Food Magazine, Fotolab Kiekie, Pf Magazine, Foto Nivo Schweitzer, Gebr Niemeijer, The Condomerie and many others. The potluck was curated by Joep Termeer and donations to the potluck were made by a.o. Maza (humus and spreads), Kef (cheese), Piqniq (some delicious cakes), Meeuwig (gourmet olive oil) and Papabubble (whimsical hard candies). An aerialist showed her magic flying on a rope, while the century old church organ played. There was a launch of a special Instagram project, and a catalogue with an interview with Erik Kessels was published. Because the church is not heated for conservation purposes, it was a bit chilly – but the atmosphere in the oldest building of Amsterdam made it into a warm night!
